Car Next Door

We partnered with founder Will to take a startup idea and build it into a scalable brand, one that grew so successfully it was ultimately acquired by Uber.

From the ground up, we created the brand, designing the digital UI/UX, marketing assets and overall experience. The new identity challenged the “one person, one car” mindset with a fresh, optimistic look designed to break industry norms. At its heart was a new logo that captured the brand’s friendly, approachable personality.

Our work spanned brand strategy, tone of voice, UI, messaging and digital experience, positioning Car Next Door as an easy, affordable and playful alternative to car ownership.

The brand ultimately attracted the attention of Uber, becoming Uber Car Share.

Content

Making car sharing feel less like a service, and more like a lifestyle.

Car Next Door needed a social presence that could turn everyday car sharing into something people actually want to engage with. We built a content approach around real cars, real people and real moments, from spontaneous weekend escapes to oddly specific car finds. Less polished advertising, more personality, humour and cultural relevance.

Focus: cars, community, culture and the moments that make you want to get moving.
